10 ways to help street kids
1. Become an advocate for street children. Contact your local, state, federal and international officials on behalf of street children everywhere. This could mean issues related to orphans and vulnerable children in the US and around the world. See link to contact representatives in your area.
2. Support those who support street children. See the links to organizations that work with street children around the world and help out financially or as a volunteer. Make a donation today to UntilThen to help continue our work of advocacy and raising awareness to the issues of street children.
3. Get involved personally. Be a mentor to programs that work with street kids in a city near you.
4. Go on a relief trip working with street children around the world. Many organizations and churches that work with street children lead short-term relief teams to come and help at their programs.
5. Prevent someone from going to the streets by becoming foster or adoptive parents. Contact your local social services office to sign up for foster care training or to learn about domestic adoption.
6. Support domestic and international adoption by helping families financially who can’t afford the cost of adopting a child.
